Innovazione per lo Sviluppo (Innovation for Development) is a program active since 2016 aiming at fostering technological innovation processes in the international cooperation and development sector, in particular encouraging partnerships between Italy and Africa.
As part of the Innovazione per lo Sviluppo initiative, thanks to the strategic and financial support of Fondazione Cariplo and Fondazione Compagnia di San Paolo, up to 80 scholarships are available to applicants who intend to participate in the Social Enterprise Open Camp 2022 - Tech for Change & Social Impact
If you belong to one of the following categories:
- international cooperation operators*
- operators in the world of associations* active on the issues of migration, education for global citizenship, and new generations
- entrepreneurs and social innovators under 35
- recent graduates and undergraduates interested in approaching social economy and impact investing.
If you are a member of an NGO, social cooperative/enterprise, association or start-up, you can submit the fact sheet of your organization (optional)
*maximum two members from the same organization
To join the challenge and be selected it is necessary to:

- submit the CV
- submit one of the following contributions chosen by the candidate:
- an essay (max. 1000 characters including spaces)
- a short video (max. 3 minutes)
- a presentation (max. 5 slides)
giving your point of view on the role and potential that technology, transformation, and digital innovation can play in the development of social economy models (highlighting opportunities as well as any obstacles).
The second phase of the challenge will be open from 12.00 pm on 11 August to 11.59 pm on 25 September 2022.
The documents submitted by the candidates will be reviewed by Fondazione Opes-Lcef and by Consorzio Nazionale CGM which, at their sole discretion, will select
- up to 80 candidates for the Innovazione per lo Sviluppo scholarship
- Applications phase 2 : from 11 August h 12.00 pm to 25 September h 11.59 pm
- Selection phase 2 of the scholarship winners and notification: by 28 September 2022 by individual e-mail to each recipient.
- Finalization of registration: those selected will receive a code to complete their registration and participation in the Social Enterprise Open Camp 2022. The winners should finalize their participation no later than 5 October by filling out the form on the website www.socialopencamp.org (in order to complete the process, follow the instructions on the site, pay a symbolic contribution of €50.00 to support the activities of the organizers, send a copy of the bank transfer and your personal data to the e-mail address indicated).
If not all the scholarships will be awarded, the organizers reserve the right to open a second phase of the challenge.
- Participation in all the activities planned by the Social Enterprise Open Camp - Tech for Change & Social Impact
- Room and board in the affiliated facilities in Matera with accommodation in a double room (with the possibility of choosing your roommate)
- Return bus travel Bari - Matera on 21 October and on 24 October 2022
- Check-in on the evening of 21 October and check-out on the morning of 24 October 2022
- Travel from your residence to Bari
- Travel from Bari to your residence
- Anything not expressly mentioned in “Scholarship includes”.
* The selectees will be asked to donate a symbolic contribution of € 50 to support the activities of the organizers.
